[Message from Mr. Yuya Tahara (Arai)]
In this study, we connected routine decision-making in biological experiments with concepts from computer science, especially state machines, to develop a framework for adaptive laboratory automation.
The Humanics programme provides an environment where students can move between life science, informatics, and engineering.
Although bridging different fields is challenging, it can lead to new research questions and methods that would be difficult to find within a single discipline.
