[Message from Ms, Ami Kaneko]
As a model of REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), a prodromal symptom of Parkinson’s disease, we established a mouse model that reflects brainstem-initiated pathological progression by microinjecting familial Parkinson’s disease–associated G51D mutant α-synuclein fibrils into the pons, a key region for REM sleep regulation.
I sincerely thank all co-authors and everyone who supported this work.
