[Message from Ms. Masaki Minori]
Why do individuals with clear sleep deprivation often fail to take their sleep seriously, while individuals who have no sleep problems objectively may feel anxious about not getting enough sleep? This study, based on sleep health checkups, addresses these questions by demonstrating that subjective self-assessment alone is insufficient for accurately interpreting one's own sleep.
Please cherish your own sleep.
I would like to express my gratitude to my co-authors, as well as to my husband, daughter, and both sets of parents for their support.
I will continue to work hard on human research and, of course, on my main work regarding sleep in mice.
