Mr. Kuikui Fan, 1st year student, conducted his international research rotation activities at the Sleep Research Laboratory of the National Institute of Biological Sciences (NIBS) in Beijing, China.

Mr. Kuikui Fan, 1st year student, visited the Sleep Research Laboratory of the National Institute of Biological Sciences (NIBS) in Beijing, China from Feb 1 to Feb 25, 2024 for his international research rotation activities.

NIBS is a modern interdisciplinary research center that integrates cross-disciplinary scientific research, support services, international collaboration, advanced academic forums, and graduate education in life sciences. It is widely recognized as a world-class biological research institute, despite its small size, and has achieved significant research milestones such as the discovery of the hepatitis B receptor.

His focus theme during this visit: Customized virus packaging experiments and retrograde virus tracing experiments.

In expressing my appreciation for this valuable learning experience, I would like to first thank the Program in Humanics for providing me with this opportunity. It has not only offered me a broader international perspective but has also provided new insights into my personal academic research.
